2013 Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95W&S, 94WE, 92JS). Wine & Spirits: "The top cabernets from 2013 continue to develop well—this relatively late release from Duckhorn has benefited from its time in bottle, feeling vibrant, with a dynamic interplay of tart cherry flavors and brisk, refreshing tannins. Renee Ary, who was promoted to lead winemaker at Duckhorn in 2014, blended this wine from estate-grown cabernet and purchased fruit; 45 percent of the lot aged in new French oak barrels, adding to the savory black-olive richness of the tannins, while the purple fruit drives past any direct impression of oak. Instead, there’s a sense of cherry bark, a fruitwood aroma, or a woodland mushroom fruitiness. That integration allows the wine to present its energy unfettered, revealing a mouthwatering Napa Valley cabernet that’s ready to decant and set to develop further in the cellar." (04/2017)

2008 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2008 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "he 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is simply extraordinary. Layers of dark fruit, flowers, licorice, spices and mint are beautifully woven together. With time in the glass the wine's striking inner perfume takes center stage. Tar, smoke, flowers, red berries and licorice are some of the nuances that reappear on the finish, while gorgeous aromatics are laced throughout. I could go on. Let me make it simple: this is a flat-out great bottle of wine from Randy Dunn. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. I tasted a large number of wines with Randy Dunn this year. These are some of the most powerful, age worthy Cabernets being made in Napa Valley today." (12/2011)

2010 Hartwell "Estate Reserve" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Hartwell "Estate Reserve" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. From a difficult vintage that ultimately produced powerful, concentrated fruit. The 2010 Estate Reserve, made by Benoit Touquette, was aged for 20 months in new French oak with a soupçon of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in the blend. Tasting notes from the winery: "The 2010 Hartwell Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon displays soaring aromatics of blackberry liqueur, melted licorice, roasted coffee bean and baker’s chocolate, with subtle hints of baking spices and sweet cedar. The full-bodied palate showcases luscious flavors of macerated blueberries, blackberry syrup, sarsaparilla and mocha cappuccino, defined by a structure of smooth and fine-grained tannins. As the flagship wine in our portfolio, the 2010 Hartwell Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon offers early drinkability and promises to gain in complexity as it evolves over the next two decades."

1997 Pride Mountain Napa Valley Merlot
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Pride Mountain Napa Valley Merlot (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Merlot might be called liquified Viagra. An incredibly sexy nose of smoke, black fruits, cappuccino, and toasty wood is followed by an expansive, terrifically concentrated wine with a sumptuous texture, no hard edges, beautifully integrated acidity and tannin, and a long, 35 second finish. According to the back label, about 5% Cabernet Sauvignon was added in the blend of this stunningly aromatic, multi-dimensional wine. It should drink well for 12-15 years. This is a spectacular wine that must be tasted to be believed. (RP)" (08/1999)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP, 94WS, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better, the 2011 Syrah Armada is probably my favorite of the 2011s. Deep, rich and layered, with phenomenal black plum, damp earth, pepper, mushroom, charcuterie and spice-driven aromas and flavors, this beauty tastes like the essence of this unique terroir. Full-bodied, rich and layered, it too should flesh out beautifully with short-term cellaring and have upwards of two decades of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

2014 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (97VN, 96RP). Vinous: "The 2014 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard is rich, phenolic and intense, with striking interplay of aromas, flavors and textures. Seamless and impeccably layered in the glass, the 2014 speaks to balance and finesse. Today, the UV-SL is creamy, unctuous and absolutely stunning in its beauty. Yields were just one ton per acre at UV-SL, the most coastal of the sites Mark Aubert works with. (AG)" (02/2016)

Medium to full-bodied, supple and already approachable, it nevertheless has the back-end stuffing to evolve gracefully for upwards of a decade. (JD)" (06/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Goulots" Vieilles Vignes ((91-94ST), (92-94VN), (90-92BH)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright, full red. Knockout high-pitched perfume combines red cherry, licorice, minerals and blood orange. Pungent and precise in the mouth, with bracing flavors of red fruits and minerals. Tightens up considerably on the very long, bracing, aromatic finish. This has the structure and verve for a graceful evolution in bottle. (ST)" (01/2013)

2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99JS, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There is something ethereal about the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS, a wine that I tend to give more perfect scores to than of the other Schrader offerings. This is clone 4 from a special block of the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville, and it always seems to have these incredible, explosive aromatics ranging from blueberry to blackberry to cassis to spring flowers and lead pencil shavings. It’s always one of the more seductive wines early on, with sweet, velvety tannins, a plush, succulent mouthfeel, full-bodied splendor and majestic texture. This is a killer effort of great intensity and presence. Drink it over then next 25-30 years. (RP)" (10/2015)

2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming all from Manfred's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and a blend of 77% Grenache, 22% Syrah and 1% Viognier (fermented with 25% whole clusters), the 2011 Grenache Patine spent a full 33 months in almost all neutral oak, with just 11% being new. It offers perfumed and spice-laced notes of white pepper, black raspberry, blackberry and ground herbs that flow to a full-bodied, elegant, nicely concentrated 2011 that has nicely integrated acidity, no hard edges and a terrific finish. It's certainly one of the fresher, more elegant Grenaches from Manfred, yet it still has rocking levels of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy bottles over the following decade. 2010 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (99RP, 97VN, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from a steep, terraced plot of head-trained Syrah, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock (90% Syrah and 10% Roussanne) is easily the most structured, intense wine in the lineup. Sporting absolutely off-the-hook aromas of smoked meats, black fruits, liquid mineral, pepper, and cigar wrapper, it flows onto the palate with a thick, incredibly rich texture that somehow manages to stay light and fresh. A total behemoth, it needs time to fully flesh out, yet is up there with some of the most monumental young wines I’ve tasted. It should be forgotten for 3-4 years, and then consumed over the following two decades. (JD)" (07/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Jacques Prieur Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Combettes" ((89-92BH), (90-92RP), 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes comes from their sizable 1.50-hectare parcel located just after Meursault Charmes-Dessus. It has a very vivacious bouquet with citrus peel and lemon thyme – the most effervescent aromatics displayed by Prieur’s 2012 so far. The palate is well balanced with a vibrant opening. The acidity is well judged and there are plenty of shimmering apricot and white peach notes lining up on the tense finish. Excellent. (NM)" (10/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1993 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Haut-Doix". Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Groffier's better wines were unquestionably successful in 1993. His Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts Doix offers sweet fruit, a soft underbelly, a velvety texture, fine concentration, light tannin, and a fragrant set of aromatics. The wine will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and will last for a decade. For the first time since I have been tasting Groffier's wines, he decided to bottle them without fining or filtration. Bid on this bottle of 2001 Angélus, St-Emilion (93RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A brilliant performance by Hubert de Bouard, the 2001 Angelus is a more restrained and deliniated version of the 2000...Its deep purple color is followed by a rich nose of creosote, charcoal, blackberries, plums, cassis and espresso roast. Elegant, medium bodied and rich, with a measured ripeness and moderate structure in the pure, nicely proportioned finish...beautifully put together. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2017." (06/2004)

2009 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (100RP, (98-100WE), 98JS, 96ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An amazing wine in every sense, this classic, full-bodied Pauillac is the quintessential Pontet Canet from proprietor Alfred Tesseron, who continues to reduce yields and farms his vineyards biodynamically – a rarity in Bordeaux. Black as a moonless night, the 2009 Pontet Canet offers up notes of incense, graphite, smoke, licorice, creme de cassis and blackberries. A wine of irrefutable purity, laser-like precision, colossal weight and richness, and sensational freshness, this is a tour de force in winemaking that is capable of lasting 50 or more years. The tannins are elevated, but they are sweet and beautifully integrated as are the acidity, wood and alcohol (which must be in excess of 14%). This vineyard, which is situated on the high plateau of Pauillac adjacent to Mouton Rothschild, appears to have done everything perfectly in 2009. This cuvee should shut down in

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Louis Jadot Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru "Les Petits Monts" (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe and mildly oaky nose displays the initial hints of secondary development but still remains mostly primary with plenty of spice elements to the plum and various dark berry fruit aromas. The moderately robust, delicious and admirably concentrated medium weight flavors exude a fine bead of minerality on the firm but not hard yet mildly austere finish that displays a hint of warmth. While this could be enjoyed now, I would advise continued patience as there is plenty of remaining upside development potential." (03/2017)

It is certainly powerful, but already the shape is finalized, with its plums and berries settling down with perfumes, acidity, just enough tannins and a warm, welcoming richness. A great argument for the superiority of 2001 over 2000. (RV)" (12/2007)

2007 Dönnhoff Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spätlese
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Dönnhoff Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spätlese (94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scents of red and black currant, musk melon, orange, pear, and herbal essences in the nose of Donnhoff's 2007 Schlossbockelheimer Kupfergrube Riesling Spatlese coalesce on the palate into an intense and almost electric core. A hint of caramel points to botrytis as does the spiciness that chimes in on a kaleidoscopic, high-definition finish. it's easy to see why Donnhoff relegates this site to the group whose talents lie in residually sweet rather than dry Riesling. And it's hard to imagine that with its wealth of acidity and extract and sense of sheer energy this will not remain exciting for a quarter century. I could have picked out an Auslese, but I didn't, remarks Donnhoff by way of at least in part explaining the amazing quality and sheer concentration on display here. (DS)" (10/2009)

2010 Pavie, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Pavie, St-Emilion (100RP, 98JS, (94-97WS), 95ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What fun, excitement and joy it will be to compare the four perfect wines Perse has made in 2005, 2009, 2010 and, of course, the 2000, in 25 or so years. This wine is truly profound Bordeaux. Everything is in place - remarkable concentration and a beautiful nose of cedar and ripe blackcurrant and blackberry with some kirsch and spice box in the background. Lavishly rich, with slightly more structure and delineation than the more Rabelaisian 2009, this wine does show some serious tannins in the finish, and comes across as incredibly youthful. Of course, it's five years old, but it tastes more like a just-bottled barrel sample than a 2010. In any event, this wine is set for a long, long life and should be forgotten for at least another decade. Consume it over the following 75 or more years." (08/2016)

Of the 2008 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir,Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: "*Outstanding* An exceptionally densely fruited nose that is intensely floral and nuanced with stone, spice and soft earth hints complements to perfection the impressively concentrated medium weight plus flavors that brim with dry extract such that the very firm tannins are rendered almost invisible at present though I suspect that they will become more visible as the baby fat recedes. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful effort, the 2001 Cos d'Estournel (65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot) exhibits a poised, noble bouquet of black currants, cedar, spice box, and licorice. A hint of truffles emerges as it sits in the glass. Medium-bodied with sweet fruit (mostly black) and nicely integrated wood, it builds incrementally in the mouth, ending with a 50-second finish. 1985 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red; barely a sign of development. Floral, cedary aromas of crystallized berries (raspberry, cassis, mulberry) and graphite; extremely youthful. Thick, large-scaled and very strong in extract; layered and deep. Strong but harmonious acidity gives the wine a vibrant character. Conveys a sense of totally expressed soil. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins and superb sweetness. From a rather low-alcohol year with high natural acidity and lower-than-average yield. 93+ (ST)" (07/1998)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (96WS, 95RP, 95ST, 94JG, 94JS). Wine Spectator: "Delivers so much blackberry, leather and dried fruits on the nose. Full-bodied, with ultrapolished tannins and a silky mouthfeel. The palate turns to leaves, cedar and dried berries on the finish, which goes on and on. This is still reserved for the vintage, suggesting a long life ahead. Just coming around now, but will improve many years ahead. I have always loved this Lynch. (JS, Web-2010)"

1990 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo) Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo) Brunello di Montalcino. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Biondi-Santi is a renowned name across the world, yet it remains an anachronistic wine, at odds with the vogue for rich, fruit-laden Brunellos that are lavished in new oak. Since the 19th century, the estate's raison d'être has been to fashion long-lasting wines, built to age over a century."

Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Marc Colin & Fils Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " Almost invisible SO2. Discreet wood toast highlights an elegant, pure and relatively refined nose of primarily floral, white peach, pear and subtle spice hints that are also reflected by the round, rich and quite generous big-bodied flavors that possess ample dry extract. It's impressive how this wine manages to retain its fine sense of focus and precision given the palate staining finish. A very fine effort. " (07/2009)

1985 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Much younger than the three previous vintages of Spottswoode with much more acidity showing through (a characteristic of this vintage). Dark ruby with more purple in the color, a nice layered attack with licorice, cedar wood, tobacco leaf and black and red currants, the wine has terrific aromatics and is by far the most perfumed of the first four vintages. There is a slight abruptness in the finish, no doubt caused by the noticeable acid. This was an identical blend to the 1984, with 4% Cabernet Franc with a balance of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine still has some upside, but seems largely at its peak of deliciousness where it should stay for another 15 or so years. (RP)" (08/2016)

2012 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "(Note from 2013 review, re-reviewed with no new note in 2014) "A wine that stood out for its complexity and intensity was the 2012 Chardonnay CIX Estate. Planted with the Reuling clone of Chardonnay, this vineyard is situated next to the vineyard from which Mark Aubert makes the Lauren Chardonnay. There are only 600 cases of this prodigious wine. The vines were planted in 2007, so this is only the fifth leaf, but, wow, what a Chardonnay. Copious notes of pineapple, mango, and guava along with wet stone, caramelized citrus, tangerine, and orange marmalade characteristics are followed by a wine with a full-bodied mouthfeel as well as remarkable purity, texture, and intensity. 2004 Kalleske " Johann Georg" Old Vine Shiraz Barossa Valley
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Kalleske " Johann Georg" Old Vine Shiraz Barossa Valley (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Kalleske’s top wine is the 150-case cuvee of Shiraz Johann Georg Old Vine from a 129-year-old vineyard. Named after the first Kalleske, a native of Silesia who immigrated to Australia in 1838, it offers just about everything one could want in a Barossa Valley Shiraz. Aged two years in new French and American 300 liter hogsheads, and produced from yields of one ton of fruit per acre, this cuvee is extraordinarily consistent in 2004 and 2005. In fact, it’s hard to choose a favorite. This wine exhibits great intensity, an inky/purple color, and notes of creosote, camphor, blackberries, cassis, and subtle vanillin/pain grille notes. Unbelievably unctuous and full-bodied, with stunning concentration, thrilling purity, and amazing length as well as richness, it should evolve gracefully for 15+ years. (RP)" (10/2006)

1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Dominus, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, tips the scales at 14.2% alcohol. Although this offering lacks the power, intensity, and compelling characteristics of the 1991 and 1994, it is not far off the pace of those two monumental wines. A super nose of roasted coffee, chocolate, dried herbs, black fruits and kirsch is both intense and persuasive. The wine displays terrific richness, medium to full body, low acidity, a succulent, opulent texture, and superb purity. This beautifully made 1996 is one of the few wines that has successfully tamed the vintage's elevated tannin level. It should be relatively drinkable upon its release, yet evolve nicely for two decades. Impressive! (RP)" (12/1998)

2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (97WE, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This very dense, tannic Pinot Noir represents a triumph for both the winery, the vintage and the region it represents. A multi-clone blend (hence the name) with high, cool-climate acidity and aged in 100% new oak, it’s still young, fresh and tight. The astringency throws a cloak over the raspberries, cherries, rosehip tea and Indian spice flavors, which reveal themselves only reluctantly. But they’re there, in an imposing texture of velvet and silk. This enormous wine demands time. *Best of 2010. Cellar Selection* " (03/2010)

1998 Dalla Valle "PNV 2000 Lot 65" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Dalla Valle "PNV 2000 Lot 65" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon . According to the producer's website: "Dalla Valle Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery that was founded in 1986. The winery and vineyards are located on a plateau 400 feet above the valley floor, in the eastern hills of Oakville, Napa Valley. The combination of perfect sun exposure and the cooling marine influence from the Pacific Ocean make this an ideal site for world class winegrowing. Dalla Valle has reached an admirable level of acceptance in the last decade and produces some of the most sought out Cabernet Sauvignon and proprietary red wine in California. Wines made from Dalla Valle Vineyards are pure unbridled expressions of fruit at its most powerful and concentrated. These wines are of immense stature and richness with well-integrated tannin and acidity."

2001 Cerbaiona Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Cerbaiona Brunello di Montalcino (96RP, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What a joy it is to taste Molinari’s 2001 Brunello di Montalcino. A dark, translucent ruby, it opens with a profound, deeply expressive nose followed by notes of licorice, tar, black cherries and smoke that take on new dimensions of complexity as this great wine sits in the glass. Deceptively medium in body, it shows plenty of vibrant fruit, structure and fine, noble tannins which insure it will still be a magical wine in 15 years and likely beyond. This Brunello has been nothing short of stunning on the two occasions I’ve tasted it so far and it is undoubtedly one of the vintage’s unqualified successes. It is highly recommended. Recent bottles of the 1999 and 1990 have also been immensely enjoyable. (AG)" (12/2006)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The backward, tight, but super-rich 2008 Pinot Noir Occidental Station Cuvee Catherine has put on considerable weight over the last year. Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Maume Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Lavaux St-Jacques" (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is quite reserved with only grudging hints of red berries, damp earth and subtle spice that introduce pure, racy and detailed middle weight flavors that display the classic mineral-inflected character of a fine Lavaut plus a superbly elegant and fine finish. This doesn't have the sleek muscularity and tension of the Bonnes Mares but if anything, there is arguably even better material here crafted in an old school style.
